Hey guys, so I'm sure by now you've all heard of the new DSi, which I will soon make an nRant about once the new I install the new blog app on the site. But if you haven't heard of it, catch up on the wikipedia article!

Anyway, I've done some reasearch... and well as cool as this new handheld is, I may skip it. I was kinda hoping for a brand new console, but this is just yet again another buffed up DS with a camera and such, but with no GBA slot.

We won't see this device until this time next year, but it has actually already hit Japan a few days ago, and so far it has landed with a thud...

So, what do you think about this device??

Because the original is the best! And I have no money to shell out to simply get a newer version of something I already have...!

Yeah, I'll have to agree with ya on the graphics side, but the games are pretty darn fun on the DS...

What's the I stand for? And is the camera the only new feature on it? Pretty corny!

LOL... corny system. It's all a matter of opinion.. And Ryan, there are other awesome features as well, but I mentioned just the cam because it's a main difference... check out the wikipedia page link in the first post to see the full is of features, etc..

Hahaha, nice try, but this is about the DSi.

Anyway, I think it's dumb that Nintendo is continuing to drag out the DS name... they need to just come up with some brand new.. I don't think many people will get the DSi when it comes out late '09 here in the states, and I also heard it hasn't sold well in Japan so far...

wow when i did more research these things actually sound pretty cool  ... i might get one considering pip died ... do they really come with cameras  or do u have to buy summin extra???

The cameras are actaully on the handheld. Not to mention there are 2 of them!!

I'm loving the idea that it will have way more functionality with WiFi, like the DSi Shop, and stuff like that. Plus, the camera thing is awesome because you will be able to edit your pictures in any way, including changing the color of absolutely ANYTHING in the picture, and distorting the picture, and then sending the pic to a friend!

I'm afraid that all the extra features may subtract from the true beauty of a Nintendo system... the games. I mean look at the other games, such as the PSP, iPhone, etc... they have music, photos, movies, blah blah... I mean it's cool and all... but what happened to just a gaming system?

Ehh either way I still may get this. Although I, as I speak, am still currently enjoing my good ol' silver DS Phat.
