Actually, it's the same there with their movies. Josh and I were dropped off by my mom to order pizza and rent a movie or two at BlockBuster. So we order out pizza, go next door and find some movies to rent. Then we went to check them out, and the lady just said, "do you have ID or a credit card?"

I said, "No."

"well, you need one to rent movies."

   "What? Why?"

"We've been having some problems where people who don't live here rent movies and never return them."

"Okay, that's kind of wierd... But can you look up my parents in some sort of... customer records or something? I mean, I've lived here since I was born, and we've always gone to this movie store. They should be on there somewhere."

"I'm sorry, but I can't do that. There's no way to tell if you are who you say you are because you have no ID."

"You can't look at my mother's picture? I look EXACTLY LIKE HER except shorter."

       "I'm sorry, but I can't do that"

So Josh and I go out to get the pizza and waited for my mom to come back. So she comes back and we explain the situation and then we go into the store again and rent the movies WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS.

I get stuff from blockbuster and I can use cash, and whatnot. Well, at least I think I can, cuz my mom is the one who usually pays for the stuff we rent, except when I have a gift card, or something. But that's whacked.

Ha... wow. The last time I was at Blockbuster... was because I also had a gift card for like $20... I remember buying a new copy of "Bully: Scholarship Edition Wii" for $20... what a great game! But yeahhh, I haven't rented from there in a looong time... but oh the memories... I used to be SO obsessed with Blockbuster... I loved the idea of renting games, etc... this is all of course when I was kid... heh, right?! But yeah, that is really lame that they've put so many restrictions and stuff... boy oh boy have they changed over the years... and as much as I hate to admit that Tim is right, even though I loved Blockbuster... I don't know how much longer they will last in this digital world... :o

We definitely rented some stuff from a Blockbuster in Alpharetta without any sort of problem like that.  We used cash, but my friend did have to show ID.  To be honest, I don't really like Blockbuster very much.  Of course, it's always a good laugh to see that they have movies like Zombie Strippers or Evil Bong.
